Bebel Ribeiro holds a bachelor’s degree in flute performance and a postgraduate degree in Music Education. She is a certified Suzuki flute teacher. She has taught at the Suzuki Music Education Center and at GURI — a music education program focused on sociocultural inclusion for children and teenagers in the Greater São Paulo area. Her diverse experience includes orchestral performances, recording sessions, and chamber music groups. After moving to Halifax in 2016, she resumed teaching flute and participated in the Suzuki program at the Maritime Conservatory. She currently teaches flute at her private studio in Halifax and Hortonville. Her initiative “Early Childhood Music Education in Portuguese” has been encouraging the cultivation of the Portuguese language for children and families of immigrants, as well as other interested learners, through music education since 2017.
